‼️ AVOID INTERHAUS AT ALL COSTS! ‼️ I want to warn everyone about renting through Interhaus. My experience with them has been an absolute nightmare. I moved out of a property in Hilversum, Simon Stevinweg 44. After waiting a month for my deposit (which was nearly €2000), the landlord suddenly came up with some ridiculous additional costs. Without any explanation or proof, I was charged for some tax and lock replacement. To this day, I have not received any invoices or documentation justifying these “costs,” yet €500 was deducted from my deposit! I only received €1500, even though I left the apartment in perfect condition. This kind of behavior from the landlord, along with the complete lack of support from Interhaus, is unacceptable. If you value your money, time, and peace of mind – STAY AWAY FROM INTERHAUS!

What an incredibly bad experience with this estate agency! First they make empty promises and give you hope, only to let you down hard with the most ridiculous excuses. Our combined income of €8,000 per month was supposedly not enough security for a property costing €2,000 per month? Who do they think they're dealing with? This clearly feels like a lame excuse to reject us, even though they were initially very enthusiastic about signing us up. On top of that, the staff are downright arrogant and disrespectful (Naomi Wallet ). They are young girls who vastly overestimate themselves and clearly have no idea how to treat people with respect. From the outset, their attitude was unprofessional and condescending, as if they were better than their customers. The whole process was a waste of our time and energy. I strongly advise everyone not to work with this estate agency. They are dishonest, untrustworthy and show no respect for their customers. Please find another estate agent who understands what professionalism means.

We moved into a furnished home that was 1) uncleaned (feces stains on carpet that lifted with one carpet cleaning service, broken toys pieces left in glassware and dishware, piled up papers and debris left under furniture, feces stain in toilets, etc (I can keep going) 2) had broken appliances (washer/dryer not connected right so it floods floor, upstairs freezer broken, pond pump broken) 3) had broken furniture (dressers completely unstable and fall over/wobbly, shattered and cracked dishes glasses that cannot hold liquid, ottoman springs completely gone and cannot hold any weight, stairs carpet not secured to stair causing slip and safety issues, etc) 4) had not working electrical (multiple outlets did not work, bathroom ventilations did not work causing alarms to go off after hot showers) 5) had poor handoff (check in picture showed 4 sets of keys, we were left over 50 keys with no information or labels). We asked for fireplace instructions and replied with "wood". 6) had junk left. We'd open drawers to find broken sunglasses, hats clearly not worn in years, Tupperware that doesn't fit together, etc 7) items listed in both listing photos (which were taken before last tenet we realized) and inspection by our agent have changed so furnished was not what we expected. All TVs taken, a desk is gone, a single mattress was left without a bed frame, etc. The communication from the owners agency, interhouse, has been less than ideal. When we show a defect, they say no one had that issue before. Clearly in checkin none of the outlets were tested. They also pass these off as tenet issues despite them advertising a furnished house. Do not recommend at this time to rent with them as a rep if you want to have a smooth process. I will change my post if anything improves the next two years. If you do have to rent through them, document everything via email and force them to add additions to their check in photos. Try every outlet and switch. And if they "ask" you if they can dispatch someone, they're not asking and already sent. Which is quite annoying and a disrespect of personal space and time.

They simply don't provide the services which are clearly advertised on their web-site. That's absolutely OK, but why to give misleading information and ghost potential clients? Added: To reply the owner comment - this service, copied/pasted from the official web-site: TASKING INTERHOUSE WITH FINDING YOU A RENTAL PROPERTY You’re looking for a home that suits you perfectly. Once you’ve found it, you want to be certain of renting it at favourable terms and conditions and of using the correct tenancy agreement. This can be tricky in a hectic and often unfamiliar housing market in which demand is high and properties scarce. It takes knowledge, speed and the right network to find and rent the appropriate property. Even if you succeed in finding the right home, that’s not the end of the process. How do you make sure you get the property and how can you be certain that the proposed terms and conditions and supplied tenancy agreement are fair and correct

worst experience ever! i left the house over a month ago and they keep taking off money from my deposit for the costs that i don't even understand. The costs are huge and there is no details and when i ask for details they don't give an explanation. It looks like the landloard is trying to renovate his house with my deposit. I'm not even sure I will get my deposit back. I had to go to a police station then contact a lawyer and then get in touch with a bailiff. They keep sending me costs for a handyman that are not almost 1000 euros for things he's going to repair when he could do it all at once in one day. And when i ask them details they don't tell me; worst agency ever. be very careful they will rob you off!! and you will never hear about your deposit again. At this day i still receive innvoies for "handyman work" for "diverse tasks" that cost 300 euros each and i don't understand why he doesn't go to do it all at once. never go with this agency you will never get your money back. i asked them why the cleaning services costed 380 euros when it's 35 euros/hour and legally you can't even make someone work 10h....they stayed vague talking about cat hair. that they had to bring the sheets to some laundery. huh....and that's 380 euros....right and then they tried to make me pay for a mattrass that i didn't even sleep on !!!! i asked them pictures before they couldn't provide so....just stay away from them or you'll never get your money back.

Worst experience. Didn't get our rental deposit back after handing over the property. We're still waiting for 6 months and counting. During the final inspection (before we left the property), the landlord kept pointing at defects in the property that were already present before we moved it. Interhouse had taken photos of the said defects beforehand, but the owner didn't believe in those photos for some reason, and Interhouse didn't help sort out this out. The landlord was asking for an extra month of rent even though I gave him the agreed month's notice before vacating the property. When I explained the situation to Interhouse, they agreed that I was right, but then later sided with the landlord (obviously, because he is their client) The landlord and Interhouse are in this together.

Frequently asked questions about
letting and selling properties in Almere
-
In Almere, modern apartments and smaller family homes of around 60 m² are in high demand, particularly among first-time buyers and young families. Family homes in neighborhoods such as Tussen de Vaarten, Waterwijk, and Vogelhorst are popular due to their space and proximity to green areas. Move-in-ready or recently renovated properties tend to sell better than homes requiring extensive work. Additionally, many properties sell above the asking price, especially if priced slightly below market value. Almere’s blend of modern architecture, green living spaces, and excellent accessibility makes it an appealing choice for homebuyers.
