Step 1:

Send us a proposal under which conditions you wish to rent the property

Draw up a complete proposal including all conditions under which you wish to rent the property. Add an introduction of you and any co-tenants/occupants.
Keep in mind, making a proposal isn’t without obligation. If your offer is accepted, a legally binding agreement exists.

Step 2:

Your proposal is discussed with the landlord/owner

We send your proposal, including written introduction, to the landlord/owner of the property. We give the landlord/owner more information and advice regarding the proposal. The final decision regarding acceptance of a proposal always lies with the landlord/owner.
Keep in mind, if your proposal is accepted, a legally binding agreement exists (subject to succesful screening).

Step 3:

You receive a reply to your proposal via e-mail, followed by negiotiation or immediate acceptance

As soon as an agreement regarding the conditions is reached, the Dutch law states a legally binding agreement exists. Agreement is always subject to a positive screening performed by Interhouse.
A screening is a formality and usually has positive results, on account of the requested information being supportive of the situation as described by you. We also assume a candidate tenant has made a correct estimation regarding monthly costs and income.

Step 4:

You receive a link to upload your documents digitally, followed by the screening.

You are to provide us with documents for identification and proof of income. Below, you can see which documents we’ll need. You’ll receive an invite from our partner Properize for our screeningsprocess and to upload your documents. Should any further documents be necessary, we’ll inform you.

Required documents per situation: 

Employed
– Two recent salary slips
– Signed employment agreement
– Good quality colour photo of the valid identifications of all occupants

Self-employed
– Statement from accountant, mentioning the net profit of the past 3 years
– Recent excerpt Chamber of Commerce
– Good quality colour photo of the valid identifications of all occupants

Company lease
– Recent excerpt Chamber of Commerce
– Good quality colour foto of the valid identifications of authorized signatories
– Good quality colour photo of the valid identifications of all occupants

Students
– Proof of registration educational institute
– Good quality colour photo of the valid identifications of all occupants
– Guarantors’ statement signed by guarantor (if married, both partners must sign), a template of the guarantors’ statement is available at request
– Good quality colour photo of the valid identifications of all guarantors
– Two recent salary slips of all guarantors

Step 5:

After a succesful screening, you’ll receive a concept tenancy agreement

Read the concept tenancy agreement and the General Terms and Conditions thoroughly. This is the moment to ask any questions regarding the contents of the document. You’ll also receive an invoice from Interhouse for the first rental payment and the deposit. We wish to receive the tenancy agreement signed digitally. Step 6:

Supply agreements for energie, water, internet and television

This is the moment to think about arranging the supply agreements for energy, water, internet and television suitable for your situation. When arranging a contract for internet, there could be a waiting period. We can bring you in contact with an advisor, if necessary. Determining time for key transfer on the starting date of the tenancy agreement

ATTENTION: The entire first payment of the received invoice must be visible in the Interhouse bank account, before a key transfer can take place. A proof of payment is not sufficiënt.

During the key transfer

An Interhouse employee will perform an extensive inspection, draws up and inspection report and takes detailed inspection photos to record the state of your new property (also serves as inventory). The state of your property including meter readings and the number of keys handed over are meticulously recoreded. Check the property thoroughly during the days after the transfer. Pass on any and all deficiencies that weren’t found during inspection as soon as possible.

From this moment on, you have full access to the property. You are also fully responsible for the property from here on out. Do you have any questions during your tenancy?
